Man robbed at New Town
Hobart Detectives are searching for three males who robbed a New Town man of a large amount of cash in Tower Road last night.
The man was returning home to his unit about 8.30pm with the takings from his business and as he parked he vehicle and walked to the front door of his unit he was confronted by three males, one of whom pushed him to the ground.
The males searched through a box the man had been carrying and removed a bag containing a large amount of cash before running off in the direction of Bowen Road.
The males are described as:
- 1. Slim Build wearing a yellow or lemon coloured Halloween Mask and a hoodie
- 2. Wearing a skin coloured Monkey face mask and a hoodie
- 3. Wearing a white face mask and a hoodie.
All offenders are described as wearing dark clothing, being of average height and build and believed to be late teens or early twenties. The man was not seriously injured in this attack.
Police are anxious to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at this time, particularly three males who were seen in Tower Road about 7pm acting suspiciously.
