A 23 year old man is in custody following an incident at Risdon Vale last night that resulted in a man being stabbed.

Approximately 8.50pm on Tuesday 6 December, police were called to a large disturbance involving several people fighting outside a residence in Matipo Street, Risdon Vale, and a report of a man being stabbed.

Attending police restored order, separated the parties involved  – who were known to each other – and took the 23 year old man into custody.

A 31 year old man received a small stab wound to his left upper arm was conveyed to hospital and later released.

A 34 year old man received a suspected broken jaw and eye socket and was conveyed to hospital and later released.

Bellerive CIB is investigating and would like witnesses who they haven’t spoken to already to come forward.
