Man in custody following evade incident on Hobart’s eastern shore
Police this morning arrested a man after a white Holden Commodore evaded police on the Domain Highway, Cornelian Bay at 9.30am and was later spiked in Lindisfarne.
Numerous traffic offences were committed as the vehicle was driven through the suburbs of Lindisfarne, Rosny, Mornington and Warrane.
Road spikes were successfully deployed in Lindisfarne, and the vehicle came to a stop nearby after crashing into a parked vehicle.
A 22-year-old man was located hiding from police near the scene of the crash. He was arrested and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Police wish to speak with any member of the public who may have witnessed the driving behaviour.
