Police have taken a 30-year-old Gagebrook man safely into custody following a targeted police operation this morning.

The police operation commenced following a firearm incident in Bridgewater last night.

The operation involved the dedicated efforts of highly trained officers from specialist units within Tasmania Police and culminated in the arrest of a man on Terry Street around 11.20am.
