Man critical after tree felling incident
A 28 year old man remains in a critical condition after he was seriously injured in a tree felling accident at Nunamara in the states’s north-east yesterday.
Police and emergency services attended a property along Neils Road about 4pm after the man suffered spinal and lung injuries as a result of a tree falling on him.
Members from Tasmania Fire Service utilised specialised equipment to free the man, who also received medical treatment at the scene by Ambulance Tasmania.
He was then flown by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Tasmania to the Royal Hobart Hospital for further treatment.
The man is currently in a critical condition.
Our thoughts are with the man’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.
