Devonport CIB has charged a 23-year-old man with unlawfully setting fire to property at a residence in Devonport.

Emergency services attended the Kelly Place home shortly after 5 pm yesterday. There was nobody home at the time of the fire.

The man has been detained to appear in court on 5 July 2013.
