At about 4.55pm on Saturday 27th August 2016 Uniform Police intercepted a vehicle on the Midland Highway, before Kempton.  A man from Rosny was arrested after police located 84 grams of crystal methylamphetamine (ICE) and a quantity of cash in the vehicle.

The man was conveyed to the Hobart Police Station where he was interviewed by detectives from Southern Drug Investigation Services.

The man was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance and Dealing in the Proceeds of Crime and bailed to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court on October 3.

The street value of the crystal methylamphetamine (ICE) seized was approximately $84,000.
