A 21-year-old Prospect man has been charged with 21 burglary and 23 stealing offences following planned search operations on Friday.

Officers from the Northern Criminal Investigation Division searched a Prospect residence and an address at South Launceston, recovering a significant amount of stolen property, believed to be worth approximately $170,000.

Police will allege the burglary and stealing offences were committed in the north and west of Tasmania between August and December 2024.

The man was remanded in custody to reappear in court today.
