Man charged with multiple traffic offences after two separate evade incidents
Police have charged a man from Liffey with multiple traffic offences and are seeking witnesses to two evade incidents he was allegedly involved in.
Police will allege the man was driving a white 1994 Nissan Navara dual cab ute, DU3875:
- yesterday, around 2.40pm, on Wellington Street and Illawara Road at Longford, where it’s alleged the ute evaded police driving in a reckless manner through a heavily built-up area and a roadworks zone.
- on 22 July, around 10.20am, on the East Tamar Highway in the Swan Bay and Windemere area, where it’s alleged the ute was driven in a reckless manner attempting to cause a crash with a marked police vehicle which was attempting to intercept it.
The 21-year-old man has been charged with multiple offences including reckless driving x2, evade police, and drive while not the holder of a driver licence.
As part of the ongoing police investigation, police would like to speak to anyone who saw the ute being driver dangerously including the occupants of a silver Holden Commodore sedan near the Shell Service Station in Longford; and anyone at or near the roadworks zone on Illawara Road.
