Man Charged with High Range Drink Driving

Police have charged a 24-year-old Railton man with high-range drink driving after he was intercepted by police on Franklin Street, Devonport around 10pm on Sunday 10th March 2024.

The man returned a breath analysis reading of 0.192 near 4 times the legal limit, while driving with his driver licence suspended.

The man was arrested and bailed to appear in the Devonport Magistrates Court at a later date. He has been disqualified from driving for a period of 24 months.

Police will continue to target dangerous driving behaviours like speeding, mobile phone use and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
