A 49-year-old man from Burnie has been charged with Criminal Code Assault in relation to an incident at North Terrace, Burnie, yesterday. 

As a result of the incident, a 52-year-old man was transported to hospital with what were reported to be serious head injuries. He has since been discharged. 

The two men are known to each-other, and no weapons were used in the incident. 

The charged man has been bailed to appear before the Court on 23 May 2023.
