Man charged with Clarendon Vale burglaries
Police have charged a 33-year-old man from Clarendon Vale with numerous offences after searching a residence this morning.
Around 7:40am, police attended a private residence in Avro Court, Clarendon Vale and arrested a 33-year-old man.
Detectives from Bellerive CIB and Operation Saturate members executed a search warrant at the residence, recovering a substantial amount of stolen property, identified to be from burglaries of construction sites within Clarendon Vale.
The man was charged with Burglary x16, Stealing x14, Breach of Interim Family Violence Order x15, Breach of bail x5, Destroy Property x5, Possession of Stolen Property x2, Receiving Stolen Property x1 and Trespass x1. The man has been detained to appear in court this evening.
“It’s a timely reminder for us all to do everything possible to avoid becoming a target for thieves,” said Detective Sergeant Josh Wood of Bellerive CIB.
“Police are seeing a trend of construction sites being targeted by thieves and we ask tradies to ensure their tools and materials are secured when they aren’t on-site”.
