Man charged with assault following incident on Sheffield Main Road
Police have today charged a 19-year-old Sheffield man with Assault following an incident that occurred on Sheffield Main Road around 8.30pm yesterday.
A 33-year-old man received serious head injuries as a result of the incident and was taken by Ambulance to the North West Regional Hospital before being flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital where he is currently in a serious but stable condition.
Detective First Class Constable Bobby Gray of Devonport CIB stated:
“The two men are known to each other and the incident appears to have arisen from an ongoing dispute.”
The 19-year-old man is expected to appear in an out of hours sitting of the Devonport Magistrates Court tonight.
