Detectives from Burnie Criminal Investigation Branch have today charged a 24 year old Burnie man with Arson in relation to a house fire on Mount Street, Upper Burnie that occurred in the early hours of Saturday 7 November.

The residence, which was valued at approximately $300,000, was destroyed as a consequence of the fire.

The man was bailed to appear in the Burnie Magistrates Court on 5 January 2021.
