Detectives have charged an 18 year old Kingston man with arson, following a structure fire at Kingston High School on Monday night which caused about $200,000 damage to one of the school buildings.

The man was charged with one count of arson and trespass.

The man has been bailed to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court on 29 April 2019.

Police would like to thank witnesses who came forward and assisted with enquiries.
