Man charged with murder following discovery of human remains

A 45 year old Mayfield man has been charged with one count of murder following the discovery of human remains in the backyard of a Mayfield property overnight.

 

The man was remanded in custody to appear in an out of hours session of the Launceston Magistrates Court at 8pm tonight.

 

A 19 year old Mayfield woman has been charged with one count of Accessory After the Fact of Murder and was bailed to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on 7 June at 9.30am.

 

A 53 year old Mayfield man was charged with one count of Failing to Report the Killing of a Person and was bailed to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on 7 June at 9.30am.

 

Northern detectives and forensic officers remain on the scene of a Mayfield property in relation to the ongoing investigation of missing 24 year old Launceston man Tyson Timothy Clark-Robertson.

 

Forensic investigations overnight have located human remains at the Mitchell St property.

 

It will take some time for the exhumation, post-mortem and identification process to be completed.
