Man charged in relation to serious assault in New Norfolk
As part of an ongoing investigation, police have charged a man in relation to a serious assault in New Norfolk last month.
On 19 October, Ambulance Tasmania members located a man unresponsive on Andrew Street. He had suffered a number of significant head injuries including a substantial laceration to his ear, in addition to multiple injuries to his face and skull. He has since been discharged from the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Police have today charged a 44-year-old man with Causing Grievous Bodily Harm. He will appear at the Hobart Magistrates Court later today.
The two men were known to each other and police will allege the incident was targeted.
