A 38 year old North Hobart man has been charged following an alleged incident on Hobart’s waterfront yesterday afternoon.

The man was charged with one count of Common Assault following a police investigation into a complaint made by Tony Abbott MP.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court at 9.30am on 23 October.

Tasmania Police will make no further comment in relation to the matter.
