Man charged following evade incident
A 66 year old South Hobart man has been charged following an evade incident at Hobart Airport this morning.
Police were called to the scene about 11am following reports a man causing issues in the passenger pick up and drop off area at the airport.
Upon arrival, police located the man in his vehicle and directed him to leave the area.
The man then allegedly drove the vehicle against the flow of traffic and evaded police, before the vehicle was blocked in by bollards and he was removed from the vehicle by police.
The man was arrested, charged with several offences including aggravated assault, trespass, evade police, create a common nuisance and failing to comply with a direction of a police officer.
He will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court tomorrow.
