Launceston Detectives have charged a 29 year old male of No Fixed Address with THE Armed Robbery of the Mowbray Branch of the ANZ Bank on Friday 22 September 2017.

The male was arrested by uniform police around 4am this morning when a police officer recognised the male as the offender whilst speaking to him in the suburb of Waverley.

The male has been charged with Armed Robbery, resist police, possess controlled drug and contravening bail conditions.

The male has been detained to appear in an out of hours court at Launceston on 23 September 2017.
