A 24-year-old Mornington man is in police custody assisting with enquiries in relation to the ram raid robbery at Claudia Jewellers on Tuesday.

As part of their ongoing investigation, around 10:30am this morning police arrested the man driving a stolen motor vehicle in the Risdon Vale area.

He remains in police custody assisting with a number of matters including the ram raid and a recent series of burglaries in the Hobart and Sandy Bay area.
