Yesterday, police from the High Risk Child Exploitation and Joint Anti-Child Exploitation Team, with assistance from Launceston CIB and George Town Police, executed a search warrant in Mount Direction.  

Following the search, a 21 year old man was arrested for possession of child exploitation material contrary to the Criminal Code Act 1924 [Tas.]. The man was charged and subsequently granted police bail to appear in court at a later date.

A number of firearms were also seized, and a 49 year old man from the same address will be proceeded against for firearms offences.
