At approximately 10:15am on Thursday 23/6/11 Ambulance Tasmania activated the Tasmania Police Westpac Rescue Helicopter to Nubeena.

A 30 year old man from Carlton River had been involved in a scuba diving incident whilst working at a fish farm and was suspected to be suffering from decompression sickness.

The patient was treated on scene by Paramedics before being flown from Nubeena to the Hyperbaric Chamber located at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
