Males charged from an incident at Cuprona
Two people have been charged following an alleged aggravated armed robbery at Cuprona overnight.
Police and emergency services were called to a private residence just before 10pm Thursday after reports a person had been seriously injured.
Two men reportedly entered the residence while in possession of a firearm and a knife.
A man inside the home received serious injuries to his leg and arm, and was flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Two men were taken into custody a short time later, and have since been charged with multiple offences including aggravated armed robbery, wounding, causing grievous bodily harm, destroy property, possessing a loaded firearm in a public place, and other firearms-related offences.
The 21-year-old Acton man and 23-year-old Burnie man were both detained to appear in the Burnie Magistrates Court tomorrow.
