Major crime investigation update

As part of the investigation into the death of Brendan Roy Marriott, Tasmania Police are in the final stages of finalising the forensic examination of the crime scene at the property at East Bagdad Road, Bagdad.  It is anticipated that the examination will be finalised and the scene will be released on Friday, 1 April 2011. 

Police have located some biological matter that may be human. It has been taken for testing but results won’t be known for some time.

All three charged persons were separately taken to the scene and assisted investigators to clarify matters in relation to the investigation.

It is expected in the near future, that further charges will be laid in relation to other criminal matters that were detected at the Bagdad address. 

The investigation will continue for some time as the task force continues to detail the facts surrounding the death.
