A 35 year old Lutana woman has today been arrested and charged after entering Lapoinya State Forest.

The 35 year old Lutana woman was arrested under s. 6(4) of the Workplaces [Protection from Protestors] Act 2014.

The arrested woman was transported to the Burnie Police Station, charged and bailed.

A second person today received a direction from police and left without further police action.

While the general demeanour of protests was peaceful, police will continue to monitor the situation and take action accordingly.
