The police investigation is ongoing into a disturbance, between a number of people known to each other, on Goose Green Place at Longford last night. 

A 19-year-old man from Longford has been charged with wounding and firearms related offences. He remains in custody to appear before the Launceston Court this morning. 

Police will allege the man discharged a firearm at the scene, which caused a minor leg injury to another man. At this stage the firearm has not been located by police. 

Police are on the scene investigating a disturbance at Longford with Goose Green Drive now declared a crime scene.

 A number of people were involved in the disturbance. At this stage it is believed the people involved were known to each other. 

One person is in police custody. 

One person is receiving medical treatment at the scene for a leg injury that does not require hospital treatment. 

Police are investigating reports a firearm was allegedly discharged.
