Launceston woman six times over limit crashes into parked cars
A 45-year-old Launceston woman was given an immediate 12-month disqualification notice after damaging five cars while driving with a breath analysis result of more than six times the legal limit in Riverside yesterday.
The woman had attempted to drive into the Riverside Hotel carpark about 2pm on Thursday 21 March 2019.
Officers from the Northern Road Safety Taskforce attended and located the woman, who returned a breath analysis result of 0.307.
She was arrested, charged, bailed to later appear in court and was issued a 12-month immediate disqualification notice.
It was fortunate that the parked vehicles were not occupied at the time and that no one was injured.
Police wish to thank the public for assisting with this matter and preventing the driver from continuing to drive.
