Launceston Motorcycle rider detected speeding 70km/h above limit
Police this morning arrested a Launceston man after he was intercepted riding his motorcycle 70km/h above the speed limit in Trevallyn.
Around 9:45am, police performing speed reduction duties on the West Tamar Highway detected the man travelling at 140km/h in the 70km/h speed zone.
The 20-year-old Launceston man was intercepted by police, had his bike seized and will appear before the court at a later date on speeding and unlicensed driving offences.
