Launceston CIB has today charged a Launceston man with rape and other sex crimes alleged to have been committed on his 14 year old daughter in 2009.

The 37 year old man, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, appeared in the Launceston Magistrates Court this afternoon on charges including rape, sexual intercourse with a young person under the age of 17 years, aggravated sexual assault and indecent assault.

The man pleaded not guilty and was bailed to appear in the Launceston Supreme Court on 19 July 2016.
