Launceston man charged over series of burglaries
Launceston CIB have today charged a 22 year old Launceston man over a series of burglaries and stealings that have occurred across the Launceston area in the last six weeks.
The man was arrested by police last night after a tip off by a member of the public.
The man was remanded to appear in court charged with: 2 x aggravated burglaries, 6 burglaries, 4 attempted burglaries, 6 stealings, 4 motor vehicle stealings, 16 computer related frauds, evade police aggravated circumstances, 2 x trespass, unlawful possession of property and minor drug offences.
Three of the stolen motor vehicles have been recovered.
The man will appear in an after hours court at 8pm tonight.
Police are continuing enquiries in relation to the location of other outstanding property.
