Launceston CIB investigate shooting at Invermay
Launceston CIB is following a particular line of inquiry following a shooting at Invermay last night.
Police received a call that a man had been shot in the face at an address in Invermay about 10.20pm yesterday.
Upon attendance of emergency services a 33 year old man has sustained a wound to his left eye/temple area. The man is in a stable condition in the Royal Hobart Hospital.
“At this early stage of the investigation, police believe the shooting was a targeted attack and we aren’t ruling out that the parties were known to each other,” Detective Inspector Gary Williams said.
“We are following a particular line of inquiry in relation to this.
“Police would like to hear from anyone who has any information in relation to the incident.”
