On Sunday evening 31 October, Officers from the Ulverstone Police Station arrested and charged an 18 year old Chasm Creek man with ‘Being in Possession of a Laser Pointer’ contrary to section 15F of the Police Offences Act 1935.

Police were responding to reports that a green laser had been pointed at drivers on Penguin Road, Penguin, and as the officers have entered the area the laser was pointed directly at them.

The man was bailed to appear in the Burnie Court of Petty Sessions on the 21 December 2010.
