On Wednesday 16 November 2011, members of Southern Drug Investigation Services arrested a male and a female from the Nugent area following a lengthy investigation into the trafficking of methylamphetamine.

Southern Drug Detectives, supported by police drawn from a variety of work areas across the state, spent the day conducting searches of numerous locations in the Nugent/Buckland area as part of the investigation.  Initial indications are that the investigating team will continue searches throughout Thursday 17 November 2011.

The 39 year old male and 30 year old female remain in police custody and are assisting as investigations continue.
