Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of how a man sustained critical injuries in New Town in the early hours of yesterday.

The man he was pictured with on CCTV at the K-Mart Plaza has been located and interviewed by Police. He is no longer considered a person of interest.

The man remains in a critical condition in the Royal Hobart Hospital.

The police investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to come forward.
