Investigation Update – Michelle Meades Murder (Update: 24-Sep-2016)
Police are continuing to appeal for information about the murder of Kingston woman Michelle Meades (aged 51) whose body was found on Thursday in a burnt-out unit in Clarendon Vale.
Anyone who has information about the murder or who saw Ms Meades after she was last seen in New Town on Friday 16 September is asked to come forward to police.
The police investigation into her death is continuing today and investigators remain on scene at the residence in Saladin Circle in Clarendon Vale.
A 33-year-old woman from Mornington remains in custody in relation to the Arson charge. She has not been charged with any other offences.
Two men from Clarendon Vale were interviewed yesterday and have been released without charge. Investigations are continuing in what is likely to be a lengthy and methodical investigation.
Results of the forensic evidence seized will take some time.
