Police are continuing to investigate the wounding incident involving a 25-year-old man and a 22-year-old man in George Street, Devonport yesterday morning.

Both men remain in hospital. The 22-year-old is in a critical condition.

The 25-year-old has been placed under arrest and is under police guard. He is in a stable condition and will be formally interviewed by investigators once medical clearance is granted.

Detective Inspector Kim Steven said forensic police officers and specialists from Forensic Science Services Tasmania are still examining the scene.

“We also have a team of detectives working through the information we have gathered since yesterday to assist us in identifying exactly what occurred during this incident.”
