Just about 12:35pm this afternoon police were advised by AMSA of a personal locator beacon activation on the Meander Falls Track area.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter, along with a ground party comprising Police, SES and Ambulance personnel were deployed to the area.

At about 2.45pm the Police Rescue Helicopter located the party and winched a Paramedic to the group. A 14-year-old boy was winched from the area and transported to the LGH with non-life-threatening injuries.
