On Saturday, 11 January 2014 the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to attend Cradle Mountain for an injured bushwalker in the vicinity of Lake Rodway.

The helicopter flew to the area and located the 29 year old female walker. The walker was winched from the area and flown to Hobart. It is believed she sustained a broken ankle.
