Information Sought – Drug Distribution at ‘Hot Dub Wine Machine’

On Saturday the 7th of March 2020 the ‘Hot Dub Wine Machine’ festival was held at Home Hill Winery in Ranelagh, Tasmania.
Police are seeking public assistance regarding the identity of any individual(s) involved in the distribution of illicit substances at that event, specifically the distribution of red MDMA based capsules.
“If any members of our community have purchased illicit drugs in the form of red capsules, I ask that they please destroy them or hand them in to police. Put your health and safety first.” Detective Inspector Chambers said.
These pills are believed to be related to an adverse reaction by a patron at the event.
“For those seeking to profit from selling harmful drugs to Tasmanians, know that we will target you and your activities in order to keep Tasmanians safe.”
Any information can either be provided anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 (online at crimestopperstas.com.au) or directly to Detective Constable Ortuso of Southern Drug Investigation Services on 61732672.
