At approximately 3.10pm on Saturday 14 May 2016 Tasmania Police received information from a member of the public that a vehicle had been driven into the water at the Geilston Bay boat ramp.

Police, Fire and Ambulance personnel attended the scene and as result of the incident a male person was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital in a critical condition.

The circumstances around the incident are not suspicious.
