Incident at Burnie residence
At approximately 8:45pm Saturday 18 June 2016 police were called to the private residence in Burnie. Police were informed that a man had knocked on a person’s door and requested to speak with him but when advised he was not home that person had left.
It was possible that this person was part of a group of up to five people who had been on foot in the area. Police were not advised of any direct threats made or that any other person had entered the property.
A political advertising sign previously displayed in the man’s front yard was discovered lying in the driveway of residence.
Police later spoke to a group of people at a nearby residence who denied involvement in the matter.
