Late in the afternoon a man walking dogs in bush area behind Dover Village at Mowbray located human remains.

Police have been in attendance at the location since that time and have maintained security overnight.

Currently forensic officers are at the scene and it is anticipated they will be there for several hours completing those tasks.

Initial enquiries and examination do not reveal any suspicious circumstances regarding the death of the person, who at this point has not been identified.
