On Sunday 14 January 2018 police were notified of the discovery of potential human remains at Lauderdale.

A preliminary examination indicates that the remains are very old, are Aboriginal in origin and are likely to have been exposed to the elements for decades.

A further forensic examination by an anthropologist is scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday 16 January 2018) and at that time an update will be provided.
