On Friday 4 July 2014 at approximately 6:30pm Tasmania Police and Tasmania Fire Service attended a house fire in West Launceston.

Police arrived to the residence fully ablaze, with all occupants vacating the address prior to police arrival. The cause of the fire is undetermined and Tasmania Police and Tasmania Fire Service are continuing their investigation. Approximately $200,000 damage was caused to the residence and no one was injured as a result of the fire.
