About 11.49 am on Wednesday 16 July 2014 Police were advised of a house fire at 35 Spinifex Road, Risdon Vale. Tasmania Fire, Police and Ambulance Services attended the scene.

A single 25 year old man was at home at the time of the fire. The man was transported to hospital with smoke inhalation. He received treatment and is now assisting Police with their enquiries.

Approximately $30,000 dollars damage has been caused to the interior of the rented dwelling.
