At approximately 2pm on Sunday 24^th June 2012, Tasmania Police and Tasmania Fire Service attended a house fire at Mt Lloyd Road, Mt Lloyd.

The timber and iron structure was completely destroyed by fire.  The house was vacant.

It was ascertained that entry had been gained to three (3) separate outbuildings at the above address.

The cause and origin of the fire is undetermined at this stage.  A fire watch will be maintained overnight and the house will be examined by fire scene examiners and Forensic Services tomorrow (25/6/12).

The estimated cost of damage is in excess of $350,000.
