At 12.06am on Friday 28 January 2011, Police were advised of a structure fire at Goose Green Place, Longford.

Upon arrival the premises was well alight and the occupants were not at home at the time.  Police and Tasmania Fire Service units from Longford, Perthand Launceston attended the scene.

 The house and contents, with an estimated value of $150, 000 were completely destroyed.

 This is the second structure fire in this street this month.  Police are treating the fire as suspicious.
