At 5.50pm on Saturday 22nd February 2014 Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Police attended a house fire at 79 Forster Street Invermay.

Approximately 80 percent of the house was severely damaged by the fire.

The house is privately owned but was vacant at the time of the fire.  Police are investigating the incident as suspicious and it appears the fire has been deliberately lit.
