At approximately 11:00pm on Sunday 16 September 2012, Tasmania Police and Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) responded to a house fire at 1132 Native Corners Road, Campania.  The fire had totally engulfed the residence and was unable to be extinguished by attending fire crews leaving damage of approximately $150,000.

The residence is a privately owned property, which at the time of the fire was vacant and under contract for sale.

An examination of the scene was conducted by TFS, forensics and Bellerive CIB.  The cause of the fire was classified as undetermined, however there are suspicious circumstances surrounding the fire.

The fire is being investigated by Bellerive Criminal Investigation Branch.
